We welcome enquiries in all of these areas, and will be happy to discuss the detail of research proposals with applicants. 2 Fully-funded ESRC Quota Award PhD Studentships in Human GeographySchool of Geography, University of Nottingham The School of Geography at the University of Nottingham invites applications from suitably qualified students for up to 2 fully-funded Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) quota award PhD studentships (either 1+3 or +3). All candidates must fulfil relevant ESRC eligibility criteria. Although applications are invited in any relevant area of human geography, one of the awards may be used to promote the School’s research interests in quantitative methods. If awarded on a 1+3 basis, the ESRC awards may be held by students on each of six of the School’s Masters courses: MSc Economy, Space and Society; MSc Environmental History; MA/MSc Environmental Management; MSc Human Geography; MSc Human Geography and Chinese Studies; MA Landscape and Culture. Studentships will commence in September 2010. Unsuccessful applicants will be considered for a fully-funded School studentship.
